Netherfield School was founded at Apple Town Sopore in March 1997 by one of the pioneers of modern education who changed the perception of education in the town. Mr. Ajaz Amin Masoodi. Netherfield School is located 5km away from the town in the village called Bohripora on the Sopore - Kupwara Highway
Netherfield School is spread over a vast campus measuring over eight acres. Netherfield School has a rich and logistical and functional infrastructure with nearly eighty spacious and fully ventilated classrooms. The support infrastructure includes modern science laboratories, Hi-tech Computer labs, vast libraries sports and recreational logistics that include a standard size cricket and soccer field, indoor games and lots of fun paraphernalia. In order to make students coming to school and return hassle free and safe, we have put into service a large fleet of owned busses that ferries students from their home doors to the classrooms and back.

The school has an experience of imparting education of about 20 years. The school has successfully created responsible citizens some of them in noble professions of Medical, Engineering, Education etc. The school provides an affordable platform where one get quality education on affordable fee as compared to the expensive schools in the valley.
The School provided free education to poor students of the locality. The school also tries to provide free books, uniforms to the economically backward students.
The members of the teaching community impart progress into the students. The highly qualified and experienced faculty is the greatest asset of our school. The school has rich faculty of experience more than 30 years and had been the backbone of the student community, presently working as doctors, engineers etc.
The School has well established library with various book on different faculties like Science, Arts, Islamiyah etc.
